Hot Heat LevelBlair's Original Death Hot Sauce is the patriarch of Blair's entire Death Sauce line, born in 1989 when Blair was working at a bar. He created the sauce for chicken wings called Wings of Death, and the rest as they say is history.

Nowadays, Blair's Original Death Sauce is actually one of the milder (but still hot) sauces in his Death line, deliciously balancing the right amount of heat and flavor to complement a meal without blistering your tastebuds. Made with fresh and ripe Habanero, Cayenne, and Chipotle chillies, this sauce makes a great table sauce and perfect partner for typical bar foods.

Thought it was going to be much hotter. Nonetheless, it is a excellent tasting hot sauce. Perfect for wings, burgers, even eggs. pretty much anything. On a heat scale of 1-10 i would give it a 4. Perfect for beginners on their way to seek the devils fire. Did i mention the taste is awesome. It is really a hot sauce most can enjoy.

This is by far one of my favorite hot sauces. The only problem with it is how quickly I can use it up. It's a bit on the watery side too, so it pours out pretty fast. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is simply because I don't want to hand out 5 stars to everything I like.

Side note: I think I prefer the Muerte flavor a bit more than the Original. They are very similar, but the Muerte one has an extra touch of heat and may be just a tad thicker.

If you only get one Death Sauce, this is the one. It is full of flavor and has a good heat level without being too hot. Most of Blair's hotter sauces contain extract and this develops an off flavor.

What a fabulous balance of heat, sweet and sour! Excellently crafted texture as well. Just a classic. Add this one to your "everyday" sauce collection.

I tried the blairs jalapeno death and thoought it was decent. I was a little nervous with this stuff but it has a nice balance of sweet with heat and garlic. This stuff would be awesome mixed in with some barbecue sauce and the spread on some chicken wings. What I really like is the heat comes naturally from habaneros and not from pepper extract.
