Best Foods To Enjoy With Hot Sauce

Hot sauce isn't always for the faint of heart. Regardless, there are many hot sauce fanatics out there. You've probably heard people say that they put hot sauce on everything. It's true that there aren't a lot of foods this type of sauce won't compliment; however, there are some foods that hot sauce clings to like a puzzle piece! Here are some examples of great foods to fire up.

1. Pizza
With all that savory cheese and tomato sauce, it only makes sense to spice pizza up.  Rather than using the traditional crushed red pepper though, try drizzling different types of hot sauce on it.  You'll find that using hot sauce adds not just heat, but a medley of other flavors to enjoy.

2. Chicken Wings
This is sort of a given, but it's obvious why: chicken wings go great with hot sauce.  They're made for each other like peanut butter was made for jelly!  It's no wonder why they make wings with the hot sauce already on it, a.k.a. buffalo wings.

3. Salad
There are things you can put in a salad that are spicy like onions, radishes, different types of peppers, etc.  So it makes sense that salads go well with hot sauce too.  And if you really want to get fancy, try putting ranch or bleu cheese dressing on as well.

4. Eggs
This one is also kind of obvious, but it's good nevertheless.  It's no wonder why people make breakfast burritos with eggs, jalapenos, peppers, onions, and of course hot sauce.  Eggs have a very savory, salty flavor and hot sauce compliments those types of flavors well.

5. Burgers
I thought I might throw one unexpected food in there, but not really.  After all, burgers are very salty, meaty, and savory of course.  There are even recipes out there to make stuff like buffalo burgers, and spicy bacon cheese burgers.  It all sounds amazingly good!

This list can go on and on.  As a matter of fact, anything that is savory will most likely be good with hot sauce.  The key word there is savory (hot sauce and chocolate cake might not taste amazing, but who knows?).  So go ahead, experiment, and add some heat.  Don't worry, you won't get burnt!
